Hi Renee:
Thanks for this follow-up to our earlier conversations. I’m glad to hear you are moving forward on this initiative on behalf of the Sol youth leadership at large. Amber had given me a copy of your earlier e-mail to her on Sunday and I was a little concerned that this opportunity might be slipping away. I’m glad to see that this is not the case.
The Communications Focus Group (Youth Advisory Committee to the Observatory) met on Sunday, December, 19, 2004 to discuss their continued efforts regarding the development of a Sol Summer Camp Academy 2005. It would be my guess that they could also act as the sub-committee you refer to below on behalf of the Detroit connection to these efforts.
We will be looking forward to the conference call on December 27, 2004 to continue these developmental efforts. Your proposal looks very good. Please continue to keep us in the loop as regards visioning, next steps, etc.
Hope the HOLIDAYS find you safe, secure and at peace.
Best,
Jim
